BIOGRAPHY

JoLynn Cole is a clinical psychotherapist who specializes in the treatment of children, adolescents, and young adults. She completed her graduate training in Counseling Psychology at Western Michigan University and is one of only five psychometrists in the State of Michigan to hold the credential of Certified Specialist in Psychometry (CSP). She is the most senior CSP, having earned her accreditation through the Board of Certified Psychometrists in 2009. JoLynn is a Limited License Psychologist and has passed the Association of State and Provincial Psychology Board's Examination for the Professional Practice in Psychology (EPPP).  

In addition to providing comprehensive evaluations, psychotherapy,  and counseling to a broad range of patients, JoLynn has been a clinical instructor in the Department of Counseling Psychology and Counselor Education as well as the Psychology Department at Western Michigan University co-teaching graduate students in child and adult intellectual assessment. In addition, she has completed extensive training in the administration and interpretation of the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule, second edition (ADOS-2). The ADOS-2 is a systematically based semi-structured psychometric observation tool which is considered the prevailing standard of care for the assessment of Autism Spectrum Disorder or Pervasive Developmental Disorders in children ages 12 months and older (including adults). Because it incorporates the assessment of communication, social interaction, and the imaginative use of materials and play, the ADOS requires specialized education and instruction to administer.

JoLynn has over 25 years of experience providing psychological services and counseling to children and adults. Because a number of her patients are school-aged (elementary, junior high, and high school) JoLynn is available to provide assistance in the late afternoon and early evening hours.
