Ms. Briggs is licensed at the Master's level in the state of Michigan, and has extensive clinical training in the assessment and evaluation of children, adolescents, and adults with cognitive, emotional and behavioral difficulties related to neurological diseases  and injuries.  She specializes in the treatment of children and adolescents who struggle with behavioral disorders, mood disorders such as anxiety and depression, adjustment issues, acute stress, attention deficit disorder, and learning disabilities. Her post master's continuing education is in the assessment of children and adults, parent training, and providing psychological counseling of children and adolescents.

Katelyn is highly experienced in the assessment of autism. She has completed training in the administration and interpretation of the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule, second edition (ADOS-2), which is a standardized, systematically based, and semi-structured assessment that involves observing a child’s interactions and evaluating them based on their age and developmental level. As a psychometric observation tool, it is considered the prevailing standard of care for the assessment of Autism Spectrum Disorder or Pervasive Developmental Disorders in children ages 12 months and older (including adults). Autism assessments are conducted under the direct supervision of one of our Neuropsychologists, and evaluate communication, social interactions, the imaginative use of materials, and play.

Given that many of her patients are school-aged (preschool, elementary, junior high, and high school), Katelyn is available to provide assistance in the late afternoon and early evening hours.
